- Track 1: Course-Oriented Program

Students may select up two courses from the list below. Medium of instruction is English for all courses.
This year, we are offering 3 Education 3.0 courses that are different from traditional courses in that class time will consist of interactive 
activities and discussions instead of lectures.

Eligibility & Target group

Undergraduate & graduate students from partner & non-partner universities.
Applicants from institutions where the primary medium of instruction is not English are expected to submit English test score
(TOEFL iBT: 80, IELTS: overall band 6.0, TOEIC: 800).

Number of credits

Up to 6 credits (student may enroll in up to 2 courses: one course in the morning and one course in the afternoon)

Tuition

KRW 1,200,000 for one course (3 credit)

KRW 2,400,000 for 2 courses (6 credit)

*Students nominated from partner universities will be exempt from paying tuition fees,
only if their participation will count towards the exchange balance with the respective partner university of KAIST.
Students who are not nominated by their coordinators will pay full tuition.

 

- Track 2: Individual Research Program

Individual Research Program is a 4-week research oriented program only students majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, 
Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. There are no designated departments and labs for this program. Students will have the 
freedom to pick which department and lab they wish to join, which they must indicate in our online application. Upon submission of 
your application, KAIST will contact the department and lab to see if there are spaces available.

Eligibility & target group

undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral students majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
Priority will be given to students applying from partner institutions with an exchange imbalance. 
Applicants from institutions where the primary medium of instruction is not English are expected to submit English test score 
(TOEFL iBT: 80, IELTS: overall band 6.0, TOEIC: 800).

Tuition

KRW 1,500,000

* There is no tuition exemption for Individual Research Program.

Transferring Credits

For Individual Research Program, student will be given Pass or Non-pass grade.
