* Download the Program Schedule [here]

Contents of the Summer Camp:
1 Intensive training in Spoken English (30 hours)
2 Talks and workshops covering a broad range of disciplines, all given by regular HKUST faculty
3 Outings and visits providing a deeper understanding on technology developments in Hong Kong and the local culture

Who should apply?
The summer camp welcomes applications from undergraduates and master’s degree students from universities in East and Southeast Asia. Priority is given to those who are undergraduates in Year 2 studies or above, or master’s degree students. While the English classes of the summer camp aim to help participants speak English with greater confidence, participants need to have a basic grasp of Spoken English in order to benefit from the program.

Dates:
Sun 31 July 2016 to Sat 13 August 2016 (2 weeks), both dates inclusive. Participants should aim at arriving at HKUST campus in the afternoon of 31 July 2016, and checking-out of their campus accommodation in the morning of Sat 13 August 2016.

Fee:
A total of US$403 (about TWD13,000) covering on-campus accommodation and a small administration fee.

How to apply?
* Applicants have to fill in an application form and submit a 2-minute video recording in which they should introduce themselves in English– which university they are attending, what program they are studying, and why they are interested in attending this summer camp offered by HKUST.
* The video clip can be uploaded via Dropbox, Youtube, Google Drive or some other medium. The link to the video should be sent to aflsp@ust.hk, together with the completed application form. Applications without a video clipping attached will not be processed.
* The deadline for application is Wed 22 June 2016.
* Successful applicants will receive notice in late June or early July at the latest.
